Six Lines is a dating app for New Yorkers to connect locally, not digitally. In a dating climate that lacks transparency and social accountability, Six Lines stresses the importance of having face-to-face, real-world interactions to develop healthy romantic relationships. I co-founded Six Lines, built the brand from scratch and designed the app’s interface.
When we began working on Six Lines in early 2018 we focused our branding strategy on deliberate differentiation –– no stock photos of couples or cheesy quotes with promises of eternal connection. Our tagline is “taking online dating offline” and we wanted our branding to reflect that as well, by creating a visually and conceptually rich brand on social Instagram that felt like it spoke to more than the product itself.
